Hogwarts Legacy developer Avalanche Software is rolling out a major update on June 6. The Harry Potter game will get a photo mode, allow players to reset talent points, make a previously exclusive quest open to everyone, and add new items.
What does the Hogwarts Legacy summer update add?
Photo Mode is the most significant new addition to Hogwarts Legacy, with Avalanche detailing its features in a new video. Community manager Chander Wood explained that Photo Mode gives players many options for capturing screenshots from the game. These include adjusting camera tilt, depth of field, and field of view and adding a variety of filters and frames. There are also a variety of poses and the option to hide NPCs or the player character. The Harry Potter game will even let players change the season and time of day, though this only affects photo mode and doesn’t carry over into gameplay.
The Harry Potter game’s photo mode is also a good opportunity for players to model some of Hogwart’s legacy’s new items. These include the new Azkaban Coat, Azkaban Prisoner’s Outfit, and Taped Spectacles. The update also adds the Lavender Borealis Broom and makes the previously exclusive Hippogriff mount and Felix Felicis potion recipe available to everyone.
Speaking of previously exclusive content, the update makes the Haunted Hogsmeade Shop quest available on all platforms. Players can start the quest by finding Penny the Houe Elf sweeping outside the shop after winter starts. Completing the quest unlocks the shop itself and the Shopkeeper’s Outfit.
Finally, the Hogwarts Legacy update allows players to reset their talent points from the Field Guide. Players can reset everything at once or undo individual points, and both options cost 200 gold per point.
