Square Enix and Disney’s crossover RPG series Kingdom Hearts is finally coming to Steam. The PC ports released on the Epic Game Store in 2021 and will finally debut on the Valve’s platform on June 13.
Kingdom Hearts hits Steam on June 13
The games coming to Steam include what Square Enix calls the “Dark Seeker Saga.” Specifically, these include Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 + 2.5 ReMIX, Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue, and Kingdom Hearts III + Re Mind DLC. Players can also purchase the Kingdom Hearts Integrum Masterpiece, which contains all the above.
It’s unclear how much the full Integrum Masterpiece bundle will cost. However, Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 + 2.5 ReMIX is $49.99 on Epic, while the other two are $59.99 each.
The remasters have somewhat confusing titles, so it’s worth breaking down each item’s contents.
1.5 + 2.5 ReMIX
- Kingdom Hearts Final Mix
- RE: Chain of Memories
- 358/2 Days
- Kingdom Hearts 2 Final Mix (with remastered cinematics)
- Birth By Sleep Final Mix
- Re: Coded (with remastered cinematics)
2.8 Final Chapter Prologue
- Dream Drop Distance HD
- Birth by Sleep -A fragmentary passage-
- Kingdom Hearts X Back Cover (movie)
Kingdom Hearts 3 + Re Mind DLC
- Kingdom Hearts 3
- Re Mind DLC
Notably absent is the PC port of Melody of Memory, a rhythm game set after Re Mind but retelling the series so far.
Kingdom Hearts 4 is in development and begins what Square Enix calls the “Lost Master arc.” It’s unclear if the upcoming game is coming to PC. However, releasing the remasters on Epic and Steam and Square Enix’s move away from exclusivity deals make that seem likely.
