NetherRealm Studios has released a new Mortal Kombat 1 trailer detailing the first look of the upcoming DLC fighter Ermac, who makes his return to the Mortal Kombat franchise.
The new trailer spotlights Ermac, who has been a mainstay in the Mortal Kombat franchise and who most recently appeared in Mortal Kombat X as a playable character. Ermac will join the Mortal Kombat 1 roster as a DLC Fighter on April 16, 2024, as part of an early access period for owners of the Kombat Pack. After that, he’ll be available to purchase separately in the game beginning on April 23, 2024.

The Mortal Kombat 1 Kombat Pack includes the Jean-Claude Van Damme character skin for Johnny Cage, early access to six playable DLC characters (Omni-Man, Quan CHi, Peacemaker, Ermac, Homelander, and Takeda Takahashi), and five DLC Kameo Fighters.
The Kombat Pack is available to purchase now as part of the Mortal Kombat 1 Premium Edition, or can be purchased separately for $19.99.
What is part of Mortal Kombat 1’s new season?
“Mortal Kombat 1 is the latest installment in the acclaimed Mortal Kombat videogame franchise developed by award-winning NetherRealm Studios and introduces a reborn Mortal Kombat Universe with iconic heroes and villains reimagined as they’ve never been seen before,” says the synopsis.
Over 150 rewards are included in the new season, including character skins — Monster at Heart Mileena, Blazing Hunter Liu Kang, High and Low Hunter Smoke, and First Sight Kenshi — all earnable through Invasions and Kombat League. Season 4: The Huntress is available now until April 16.
