Cold Iron Studios just announced a Switch port of Aliens: Fireteam Elite, but now it’s going to give away content for all platforms. The team revealed that a new horde map is coming to the co-op shooter alongside a few new gun skins and decals.
Terminal Containment is the new map for Fireteam Elite‘s horde mode, as announced by the game’s Twitter account. There’s not much information about it aside from the new screenshots, but it will launch on Alien Day, which is April 26. The new gun decals are also in the above slideshow and have a fireball, retro lives counter, and a “Game Over” quote that somehow doesn’t directly quote the famous line from the film.
Cold Iron didn’t hint if more content was coming to the game later down the line. Alien Day, however, is coming up.
Regardless, Aliens: Fireteam Elite has received a lot of support since its release in August 2021 through paid DLC and free updates. This support includes a new expansion, cross-platform play, additional classes, cosmetics, weapons, cards, modes, and more. The most recent free content drop was its Ruptured Cistern update that took a limited mode with a multi-floor map and added it to the game permanently, albeit with different rewards.
