Star Wars: Tales from the Galaxy’s Edge Trailer Shows PS VR2’s Visual Upgrades

Star Wars: Tales from the Galaxy’s Edge – Enhanced Edition is one of the many re-releases launching alongside PlayStation VR2. And like many of those games, this title has been enhanced for this new platform, which ILMxLab was able to show off in a new trailer.

This trailer cuts together scenes from many of its storylines, giving players a look at R2-D2, C-3PO, Dok-Ondar, Seezelslak, and more. These tales take place across different times and places within the Star Wars universe. For example, one has players taking control of Padawan-turned-Jedi Ady Sun’Zee and another stars class four assassin droid IG-88 as it tries to recover a bounty on the Smuggler’s Moon Nar Shaddaa. It boasts a stacked cast of Debra Wilson, Bobby Moynihan, Rhys Darby, Anthony Daniels, Jim Cummings, Anika Noni Rose, and more.

The visual enhancements are apparent when compared to any one of its Quest trailers. A post on the PlayStation Blog listed some of its general improvements, noting that the upgrade has higher fidelity visuals, eye tracking, headset-based controller tracking, 3D audio, and haptic feedback.
