Jujutsu Kaisen: Phantom Parade Release Date Delayed Into 2023

Jujutsu Kaisen: Phantom Parade, the upcoming mobile role-playing game based on the hit anime series, has been delayed, pushing its release date back into next year.

The news came via a brand new promotional video for the game (via Anime News Network), which revealed that instead of releasing in 2022, the title would instead release in spring 2023, in order to help the game “further improve” its quality. The game is set to release for iOS and Android devices, and will be a free-to-play title with optional in-app purchases.

The game will feature Saki and Kaito, two first-year students at the Tokyo Prefectural Jujutsu High School’s Fukuoka branch. The game’s cast includes:

  • Rina Satou as Saki Rindo
  • Kōtarō Nishiyama as Kaito Yūki
  • Rikiya Koyama as Kensuke Nagino

Jujutsu Kaisen premiered in October 2020 with a 24-episode first season, and immediately became a hit amongst fans. A film — Jujutsu Kaisen 0 — was released in Japan on December 24, 2021, and since its release has already become the 64th highest-earning film in Japanese box office history.

The anime is based on the manga title of the same name. Both the manga and anime have found widespread success in Japan, with the manga having sold over 55 million copies.
