The Ted Lasso Twitter account had teased that the character was coming to FIFA 23 and now Electronic Arts has confirmed it in a new trailer. The video in question shows Lasso as well as his AFC Richmond team all digitally recreated in EA’s upcoming soccer game a week or so before players can see them in the game for themselves.
As explained on EA’s website, Lasso and Coach Beard will be in the game as coaches while Jamie Tartt, Dani Rojas, Sam Obisanya, Roy Kent, and Isaac McAdoo will all be playable characters. Nelson Road, the team’s home field, is also one of the arenas.
Lasso is technically playable, too, as he will be in the career mode. AFC Richmond players can also be put into the Premier League and any of the other playable career mode leagues like Kick-Off, Online Friendlies, and Online Seasons. The Greyhounds will be in Ultimate Team as well and Lasso and Coach Beard will even be selectable managers. The Ted Lasso content will all be readily available through challenges and certain objectives.

The crossover wasn’t exactly a secret since it had leaked onto EA’s website earlier in the month. Lasso was also rumored to be coming to MultiVersus, but that has yet to be confirmed.
