Nintendo has formally been speaking about the sequel to The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild in exactly those vague terms. But the company finally settled on a final name. The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is the full title and is releasing on May 12, 2023 on the Switch.

The trailer itself is rather brief, as it goes over some runes before showing Link and teasing a few of his abilities. He also seemingly has a new way to glide around, which is fitting since this game has more of an emphasis on the skies above Hyrule.

Nintendo initially delayed the game to spring 2023 back in March, citing its ambitious scope as the main reason for the push.
