The first novel, Star Wars Jedi: Battle Scars, is written by Sam Maggs and tells the story of Cal Kestis as he leads the crew of the Mantis on a brand-new adventure. It is set to release on March 7, 2023. According to Lucasfilm, this novel will be set in between the Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order video game and the highly anticipated upcoming sequel, Star Wars Jedi: Survivor.

The second novel, The Art of Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, is published by Dark Horse and acts more as a tie-in to the upcoming sequel than a new story altogether. This novel will chronicle the development of the upcoming game and collect concept art and creator commentary. The book will be presented in an oversized, full-color hardcover when it releases on May 2, 2023.
