The day has finally come for Jane Foster fans who own Marvel’s Avengers. The Mighty Thor is now on the playable roster alongside Marvel’s original God of Thunder and the other mighty heroes. In addition to the character update, players can get a comics-accurate version of the Mighty Thor from her 2014 comics debut today in the Marketplace, the first of many cosmetics that will become available over the coming months.
The biggest change in today’s 2.5 update is the addition of The Mighty Thor. The character shares some moves and taunts with the original Thor, much in the same way that Hawkeye and Kate Bishop have a similar but different move set. There are also a collection of bug fixes and updates, mostly with powers triggering infinitely between level transitions and mistakenly inherited traversal abilities during Heroic Gauntlets.
There must always be a Thor.
The Mighty Thor's Mighty Jane Foster Outfit is inspired by the Thor (2014) comics, wherein a goddess makes the ultimate sacrifice to save the realms and people she loves from a sure end.

The alternate costume that players can pick up today for 900 Credits is the original Mighty Thor look from the character’s debut, but it’s not the only cosmetic in the pipeline. And as was already announced ahead of time, it has a skin based on the first Jane Foster Thor appearance in 1977’s “What If?” series and a more recent comic book suit from the character’s days as Valkyrie. Players just have to complete certain parts of her Hero Challenge Card to earn it. YouTube user Ironsmashweb also uploaded a video of her cosmetics that are currently in the game, which is at the bottom of the article.

The one suit missing from the equation is the Marvel Cinematic Universe outfit, but that will likely come once Thor: Love and Thunder hits theaters on July 8. As for the future of Marvel’s Avengers, there aren’t any announced heroes in the pipeline, so it’s up in the air what the next major update for Square Enix’s hero brawler will look like. However, there were reports of She-Hulk being the next hero, who was allegedly delayed to better line up with the MCU, according to a reputable Avengers leaker.
