Destroy All Humans 2: Reprobed has been hiding in the deep recesses of space since its September 2021 announcement. However, THQ Nordic and Black Forest Games have finally come out with more news about the title, including a release date and a multiplayer spin-off. Destroy All Humans 2: Reprobed will be releasing on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC on August 30. Those that pre-order it will also get Destroy All Humans: Clone Carnage for free, which is its standalone multiplayer spin-off.
THQ Nordic revealed the date through a trailer. The trailer shows more of the remake in action, including many of its levels like the moon and locations inspired by San Francisco, London, and Tokyo. The gameplay seems to have a lot in common with the last remake, but has elements and weapons introduced in the original sequel like the Meteor Strike and Burrow Beast guns. And like that first remake, it appears as though the game is using the same recordings from the 2006 original. It even shows some of the split-screen co-op in action, which was something that first sequel introduced (co-op is also only local, not online).

But that wasn’t the only multiplayer in the trailer, as this trailer also officially announced Destroy All Humans: Clone Carnage. This standalone multiplayer spin-off has four game modes, six maps, and supports up to four players (two players locally and four online), all of whom play a version of series protagonist Cryptosporidium. It is currently out now for $12.99 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC, even though the remake is only on newer consoles, and free for people who pre-order Reprobed. It’s not exactly a new announcement since news leaked of this spin-off last week when its achievements appeared online. Reprobed‘s announcement was similarly spoiled, albeit through different means.
While the core version of Reprobed will be $39.99, it will also have two more expensive versions, as well. The Dressed to Skill Edition will be $54.99 and come with a skin pack, challenge DLC, Reprobed, and Clone Carnage. The skin pack comes with tuxedo, mankini, and unicorn skins and four saucer skins. The challenge DLC adds in the four challenge modes from the first game that include races, abduction, and on-foot and saucer mayhem missions. It’ll even have mutators that let users control certain rules of the game. The $79.99 Jumbo Pack comes with all the same stuff, but also includes the first remake and its DLC skin pack.
