Mario Strikers: Battle League Demo Out Now, Post-Launch Content Detailed

Nintendo has released the first playable demo for the upcoming Mario Strikers: Battle League, although you can’t quite play it just yet. The publisher also detailed some of its post-launch plans for the game ahead of its Nintendo Switch release on June 10, 2022.

The demo, which is available now on the Nintendo eShop, is only available for a limited time and allows players to dive into Battle League‘s online modes during active online periods. Throughout the duration of the demo, the game’s Training Mode will also be available, giving players the chance to test out their skills before hopping into an online game with real people.

The full list of online play dates and times for the Mario Strikers: Battle League demo is below:

  • Friday, June 3 – 8-9 p.m. PT
  • Saturday, June 4 – 4-5 a.m. PT
  • Saturday, June 4 – 12-1 p.m. PT
  • Saturday, June 4 – 8-9 p.m. PT
  • Sunday, June 5 – 4-5 a.m. PT
  • Sunday, June 5 – 1-2 p.m. PT

Alongside the demo, Nintendo also took to social media to detail their plans for the game’s post-launch content, confirming via Twitter that there are updates planned, including new characters being added to the game. No official characters or updates were detailed, but Nintendo did say to keep an eye out for them as they arrive in the future.

Finally, a new cinematic for Mario Strikers: Battle League was released, revealing what the opening movie of the game will look like when players turn it on for the first time. The new cinematic showcases a match in progress, complete with some of the chaotic abilities that can be found in the game, including the use of a Bob-omb, special abilities like Donky Kong’s punches, or Mario’s superkick.
