Marvel’s Avengers‘ Thor may almost have a complete array of different Marvel Cinematic Universe skins, but there are still many from the comics to choose from. Crystal Dynamics recently did just that by going to a 35-year-old comic in order to make the Asgardian Destroy skin for the hammer-wielding Avenger.
A colossus that leaves fire and ruin in its wake, inhabited by the soul of the King of Asgard. The Destroyer has a long legacy of, well, destroying, and that's what Thor needs in Thor #381 (1987).

Thor’s Asgardian Destroyer skin from 1987’s “Thor Vol. 1 #381.” is now on the marketplace for 1,400 credits, which is around $14. The outfit puts him in armor that’s quite different than the ones currently in the game, which addresses a common complaint leveled at the title. Users have also noticed that his belt and eyes glow when he activates Odinforce, a skill that uses lightning to counter incoming attacks.

The MCU skins are still coming in at a somewhat rapid pace, as Thor got another MCU skin earlier this month. However, it seems as though the team is also trying to go back to adding more comics-oriented outfits, as evidenced by last week’s Gray Hulk skin.

This onslaught of eye-catching or recognizable skins might be to compensate for the game’s lack of big updates. Even though Jane Foster is coming down the line, fans have been waiting for a roadmap that is not coming, as Crystal Dynamics said it is shifting its plans to give smaller updates on features that are closer to release. She-Hulk is also rumored to be in the works, but she has reportedly been pushed in order to better line up with the MCU.
