Star Wars: The Force Unleashed just released on the Nintendo Switch and is one of many such Star Wars ports that Aspyr Media has put out in recent years. And when asked if the studio was bringing over a specific Star Wars title, it responded by saying it was “on board” with doing more “if the demand is there.”

Here at Aspyr we're huge Star Wars fans and love bringing Star Wars games to new audiences. For us, it’s all about the games we think players are most passionate about and would love to see brought to new platforms. If the demand is there, we’re on board

The company spoke about it on Twitter, elaborating that it loves making Star Wars games available to more players and calculates what titles to bring over by gauging passion and demand. While the question was specifically about 1998’s Star Wars: Rogue Squadron, Aspyr’s answer was more broad.
Aspyr has put out a whole host of Star Wars ports over the years. Such games include rereleases of Knights of the Old Republic, Republic Commando, Episode I Racer, Jedi Knight: Jedi Academy, and Jedi Knight II: Jedi Outcast. Other older Stars Wars games have come to a variety of platforms, but those are the ones Asypr was in charge of.

And given how many Aspyr did port and the popularity of Star Wars and nostalgia for it, it’s likely that more are on the way. The team is also busy completely remaking Knights of the Old Republic, so it’s at least got one old title in the works, albeit one with a much larger scope.
