After its official reveal in December, Ghostrunner‘s Project_Hel expansion was slated to hit only a few weeks into the new year. However, the Project_Hel DLC has been delayed and has a new release date: March 3.

The Ghostrunner Twitter account gave a brief update on the new date. As is the case for most delays, developer One More Level said it will use the extra time to make the parkour game better while also ensuring “the health and safety” of its team and partners. It’s a vague reason, but one that will likely result in a stronger expansion and healthier team.

This $14.99 add-on coming to PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, Amazon Luna, and PC will star Hel, one of the bosses from the main game. It’ll come with six new levels, more enemies, and new tracks from Daniel Deluxe, who composed the thumping tracks from the base game. Hel comes with her own upgrades as well as an extra hit point and is designed to “appeal to new players and veterans.”
She’s also more focused on combat, but it remains to be seen how that manifests in the game since One More Level has yet to show any of it in action. One More Level is also still working on a sequel, which was announced in May 2021.
