Assassin’s Creed: The Ezio Collection Releasing on Nintendo Switch

Ubisoft has announced that the Assassin’s Creed: The Ezio Collection will be making its way to the Nintendo Switch next month, with the game set to launch on February 17, 2022 for $39.99.

The collection bundles together some of the early Assassin’s Creed titles, including Assassin’s Creed II, Assassin’s Creed Brotherhood, and Assassin’s Creed Revelations, all of which tell the overarching story of the assassin Ezio Auditore da Firenze. The collection will also feature all solo DLC that was released alongside the games, as well as two short films — Assassin’s Creed Lineage and Assassin’s Creed Embers — that delve even deeper into the story of Ezio. However, it does not include multiplayer modes from Brotherhood and Revelations.

The Nintendo Switch version of the collection will also come with some features that are specific to the console, including Handheld Mode support, HD Rumble, touchscreen interface support, and an optimized HUD like the previously released Rebel Collection port. The game will be available for purchase both physically and digitally. Only Assassin’s Creed II will be on the physical cartridge and the other sequels and films will all be separate downloads. The trailer insinuates that the total size of the package is around 35 GB, but that number will vary depending on what is installed.

The Ezio Collection was initially released in 2016 for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. Previously, Ubisoft has also released classic Assassin’s Creed titles on the Nintendo Switch, including Assassin’s Creed III: Remastered and Assassin’s Creed: The Rebel Collection, a bundle that contained Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag and Assassin’s Creed Rogue.
