Morris announced on Twitter that she had joined the studio as a writer, with her first official project being the upcoming highly anticipated sequel to Marvel’s Spider-Man. Prior to her upcoming work on Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, Morris also served as a writer for the recently released Subnautica: Below Zero.

As mentioned, Morris is no stranger to the world of Spider-Man. Morris previously authored Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales – Wings of Fury, a novel that served as a prequel to the Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales video game. The novel itself focused on Miles coming to terms with what it means to be a superhero and going up against the dangerous Vulture and his accomplice Starling in a battle for New York.

Not too much is known about the upcoming sequel to Insomniac’s hit Spider-Man game, but players can expect a “darker” experience than the first game. “If the first Spider-Man game was Star Wars, Spider-Man 2 is kind of our Empire,” said Vice President of Marvel Games Bill Rosemann in an interview last year. “It gets a little darker.”
