UPDATE: The official Twitter account for the game has issued a statement on the matter and that the game will not be 150 GB. After optimizations, it will be around 80 GB on PC.
Players who are looking forward to playing the upcoming Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy game on PC will need to clear a decent amount of space for it ahead its October 26 launch.

On the official Steam page for the game (via Eurogamer), Guardians of the Galaxy is listed as requiring about 150GB of disk space, which is a fairly decent amount of space, but still nowhere near as close as something like the Call of Duty series, which has crossed the 200GB threshold with its various titles.
It’s important to note, however, that the size of the PC version of the game likely won’t be nearly that big on consoles. PC games usually clock in at bigger sizes due to things like requiring space to cache, as well as some other key differences.

The PC version of Guardians of the Galaxy, for example, has some important visual features in it, like DLSS AI performance boost, real-time ray tracing, diffuse illumination lighting, up to 8K resolution, full HDR, and wide color gamut support. These additions could potentially result in larger file sizes, although 150GB is still quite a bit of space to require on any system.
