PUBG and PUBG Mobile are fairly serious shooters except when they’re not. PUBG Mobile is showcasing this once again with its upcoming collaboration with Higurashi: When They Cry– SOTSU, a popular anime series.
Funimation announced this on its blog. From September 30 to October 14, the game will have voice cards from characters Keiichi Maebara, Rena Ryugu and Satoko Hojo. Those in Japan who log in anytime from September 30 to October 28 will get a voice card sample from the show and then will receive a Traveler Ticket that can be used to open up crates containing the crossover items. Melee kills will also earn players Traveler Tickets, but it will end on October 14.

Some of these prizes extend outside the game, as well. Those that retweet certain tweets from the PUBG Mobile Japanese Twitter account will be entered in a contest to win Amazon gift certificate worth around 5,000 yen. It ends on October 11. Players can also visit the same Twitter account to win autographs from the anime’s voice actors, Soichiro Hoshi, Mai Nakahara and Mika Kanai, and this ends on October 7.
