The virtual reality version of Resident Evil 4 officially has a release date, with the game set to release in just a month on the Oculus Quest 2.

The announcement was confirmed by Oculus Japan’s official Twitter account, which sent out a brief video showcasing the gameplay along with the release date of October 21, 2021. It is important to note that the game will be exclusive to Facebook’s Oculus Quest 2 headset, and won’t work on its older, original Quest headset.

Initially announced earlier this year, fans hadn’t heard too much regarding Resident Evil 4 VR, but are hoping to find a faithful recreation of the game in a new form. According to Oculus, Resident Evil 4 VR will support both full-motion movements, as well as more conventional ways of traveling in VR, such as teleporting to various locations.

Originally launching in 2005, Resident Evil 4 has become a classic in the world of video games, redefining the third-person shooter genre and having been ported over to various platforms ever since its inception. Resident Evil 4 VR will launch on October 21, 2021, for Oculus Quest 2.
