After years of waiting, fans will finally be able to play Castlevania: Grimoire of Souls, as Konami announced that the game would soon be coming to iOS, tvOS, and Mac via Apple’s Apple Arcade subscription service.

Initially announced in 2018, Grimoire of Souls was soft-launched on iOS in Canada in 2019 before being removed from the App Store last year. The game is touted as a “full-fledged side-scrolling action game,” and features 60 levels, tons of equipment to find, and daily and weekly missions. Players play as Alucard by default and can also unlock other characters including Simon Belmont, Charlotte, Shanoa, Maria, and more. The game also features character designs from Ayami Kojima and music by Michiru Yamane, two veterans of the Castlevania franchise.
“Castlevania: Grimoire of Souls is a full-fledged side-scrolling action game,” reads a synopsis for the upcoming game, “Experience a game with epic amounts of content including 60 levels, a wide variety of equipment, daily and weekly missions, and more! Set in a world after Dracula has been sealed away, the pages of a new story bringing together heroes of the past have begun to turn…”

Castlevania: Grimoire of Souls has no concrete release date, with Konami simply listing the release date as “soon.”
