Today, Niantic revealed it has partnered with Hasbro and TOMY for the augmented reality mobile game Transformers: Heavy Metal. Like its previous games, including the immensely popular Pokemon Go, Transformers: Heavy Metal will bring the robots in disguise to the real world using a mobile device. While specific details are slim, it is said that you will be able to team up with other Autobots like Bumblebee, and that it is powered by the Niantic Lightship platform.

Along with its partnership with Hasbro and TOMY, Niantic is working alongside the Seattle-based development studio Very Very Spaceship.
