The Steven Spielberg-produced, small-screen take on the world of “Halo” appears to have found a home at Showtime. Variety reports that the network is close to a deal for the adaptation of the hit video game franchise.
Rumored for years and officially announced last week, the project is officially described as follow:
The “Halo” television series is a groundbreaking original series based on the award-winning “Halo” franchise. Award-winning filmmaker, director and producer Steven Spielberg will executive produce the live-action TV series, created in partnership with 343 Industries and Amblin Television.
This “Halo” series is moving forward simultaneously with the Ridley Scott-produced project, described as a “digital feature.” It is set to be helmed by TV director Sergio Mimica-Gezzan with “Prison Break” creator Paul Scheuring providing the script.
