Filmmaker Neill Blomkamp’s (District 9, Elysium, Chappie) Oats Studios has released another new short for their channel with God: Serengeti. Featuring frequent collaborator Sharlto Copley (the star of Blomkamp’s District 9, the villain of Elysium, and the titular character in Chappie), you can check it out in the player below!

God: Serengeti is the third short to debut from the studio following the Vietnam war-set Firebase and the first, the Sigourney Weaver-starrer Rakka. Another short, titled Zygote, is set to arrive July 12.
Oats Studios is bringing experimental short films to YouTube and Steam. Blomkamp previously took to Twitter to answer some questions about the project, confirming that Volume 1 of the series will have three shorts running about twenty minutes each.
“The goal is to see ‘if’ the audience likes them and ‘if’ they would be willing to pay for volume 2,” the director said. “They are too short to charge now.”

Blomkamp has also recently said he plans to make a follow-up to District 9, though not on the Oats Studios platform.
