An all-new sci-fi comic book franchise is here. From writer/creator Mark Millar, Sharkey the Bounty Hunter is a series that’s set in a brilliant new sci-fi universe. Netflix just released a new trailer, which you can check out below!
At the center of the story is Sharkey, your typical blue-collar bounty hunter who tracks criminals across the galaxy in his converted, rocket-powered ice cream truck. Aided and abetted by his ten-year-old partner, he’s out for the biggest bounty of his career.

Sharkey the Bounty Hunter has been adapted and published as a Millarworld/Netflix comic, with illustrations by Simone Bianchi. Meanwhile, writer Michael Bacall (Scott Pilgrim vs. the World, 21 Jump Street) is writing the screenplay for the feature film. This is part of a much bigger collaboration between Millar and Netflix. The streaming giant is set to produce a host of programs based on the writer’s work, including Huck , Jupiter’s Legacy and American Jesus.
The first issue of Sharkey the Bounty Hunter will be available for purchase across digital platforms as of tomorrow. This includes the official Image Comics iOS app, Amazon Kindle, Apple Books, comiXology, and Google Play.
