Producer, television host, editorial director of O, The Oprah Magazine and Academy Award-nominated actress Oprah Winfrey will be a presenter at the 76th Academy Awards ceremony, producer Joe Roth announced today. This will be her fourth appearance as an Oscar presenter.
Winfrey received a Best Supporting Actress nomination for her role as Sofia in 1985’s The Color Purple. She also had a starring role in Beloved, which she produced.
Academy Awards for outstanding film achievements of 2003 will be presented on February 29, 2004, at the Kodak Theatre at Hollywood & Highland and will be televised live by the ABC Television Network beginning at 5 p.m. (PST) with a half-hour arrivals segment.
