Warner Home Video’s The Bucket List was the top DVD seller and renter for the week ending June 15, while fellow new release Jumper, from Fox, topped the Blu-ray Disc sales chart.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, “Bucket,” a comedy that generated $93.5 million at the U.S. box office, debuted at No. 1 on the Nielsen VideoScan First Alert sales chart and Home Media Magazine’s video rental chart.
Jumper, a sci-fi actioner with $79.9 million in theatrical receipts, bowed at a close No. 2 on the sales chart, selling 88% as many units as “Bucket List.” The film also debuted at No. 2 on the rental chart, generating 91.5% as much action at the rental counter as the Warner comedy.
Two other new releases debuted in the First Alert top 10: Sony Pictures’ The Other Boleyn Girl at No. 4, and HBO’s “John Adams” at No. 5.
