Randall Emmett is an American TV personality and film producer best known for confounding Emmett/Furla Oasis Films. Although he is no stranger to popularity, his reputation took a blow after his problematic behavior came under the limelight in 2022.
From September 2018 to October 2021, Randall Emmett was engaged to American reality TV Lala Kent. Per People Magazine, the pair met in 2015 when Kent was filming the fourth season of Vanderpump Rules. On the show, she discussed her developing relationship with the film producer; however, she did not mention his name. Only after Emmett divorced his wife Ambyr Childers in 2017 did Kent reveal who she was dating. Randall Emmett and Ambyr Childers were married from 2009 to 2017. In 2018, Emmett and Kent were engaged.
In the early stages of his career, Emmett mostly avoided cameras. However, he regularly began appearing in the eighth season of Vanderpump Rules, which aired throughout the first half of 2020. Later that year, the couple announced that they were expecting their first child. In March 2021, they welcomed their daughter Ocean Kent Emmett.
Unfortunately, their relationship ended in October 2021 with the dissolution of their engagement. Reports suggest that a few months later, Kent accused her ex-fiance of being disloyal. According to BravoTV.com, the 33-year-old Lala Kent currently resides in San Fernando Valley. She wanted to move into a Beverly Hills flat, but her budget didn’t allow her to do so. Earlier this year, she revealed that she was undergoing IUI (from a sperm donor) to conceive a second child.
The controversial Randall Emmett’s exploits are the subject of a 2023 Hulu documentary titled The Randall Scandal: Love, Loathing, and Vanderpump. Per IMDb, it starred Leila Azari, Matt Belloni, and Martin Blae.
Randall Emmett documentary: What was he accused of?
According to Popsugar, accusations of misconduct against Randall Emmett surfaced in 2022. He reportedly asked a 23-year-old woman to provide him with sexual favors to receive acting work in exchange. Furthermore, the film producer supposedly made several women sign NDAs and paid them large sums of money to keep their relationship a secret.
Emmett’s image was tarnished even further after his employees accused him of inappropriate conduct in the workplace. Reports suggest that some of his worst actions included asking his former assistants to transport drugs, demanding 24/7 assistance, calling them insulting names, and more.
One of his female employees even accused him of physical, mental, psychological, and sexual abuse. In a conversation with the LA Times, his former employee Martin G’Blae stated that Emmett was a dangerous person and made people he hired do illegal things. G’Blae said, “Randall was different from being just a mean boss. He made people do dangerous things — and illegal things. You had to be his punching bag — and his mule.”
Emmett was also accused of treating several actors, including high-profile names such as Bruce Willis. The producer and actor’s relationship reportedly began in 2006, until Willis’ retirement in 2022 due to declining health. According to the LA Times, he forced Willis to work even though he knew that the actor was suffering from aphasia.
Popsugar also reported that his production company was sued for more than $25 million for failing to pay loans and fees.
