Somebody Feed Phil Season 7 on Netflix: What Is Philip Rosenthal’s Next Food Destination?

According to People Magazine, season 7 of Somebody Feed Phil will premiere on Netflix on March 1, 2024. This unique American television travel documentary premiered on January 12, 2018. Furthermore, Philip Rosenthal has hosted this series since the very start.

Philip Rosenthal is best known for creating the sitcom- Everybody Loves Raymond. In an exclusive first look at the upcoming season, Rosenthal is seen sitting in a restaurant, and a tray of delicious meat is brought to him. Upon viewing the food, he says, “Porchetta, wowee wow wow. I’m not worthy. This is dinner and a show, and the show is more dinner.”

In the clip, he displays immense happiness, however, gets confused as to what to try first. He says, “I don’t know what to do — keep eating the first thing? I won’t be able to finish. I’ve got to move on.”

According to Netflix Media Center, the synopsis of Somebody Feed Phil season 7 reads, “Join globe-trotting food enthusiast Phil Rosenthal as he embarks on new delectable adventures in Netflix’s “Somebody Feed Phil.” Season 7 is bigger than ever. With 8 new episodes following Phil as he travels to Mumbai, Washington, D.C., Kyoto, Iceland, Dubai, The “Real” Orlando, Taipei, and Scotland.

It further reads, “Uncovering hidden gems and encountering the heart and soul of each city with each bite. Phil forges connections through the universal language of food. Celebrating the joy of discovery. And the shared experience of breaking bread together.”

Who is Philip Rosenthal?

64-year-old Philip Rosenthal is best known for creating, writing, and executively producing Everybody Loves Raymond. Furthermore, he presented PBS’s I’ll Have What Phil’s Having and has been hosting Somebody Feed Phil since its first season.

Rosenthal was born on January 27, 1960, and graduated from Hofstra University in 1981. Even though he was an actor in the 80s, he eventually transitioned into production work. He has even appeared in projects such as Curb Your Enthusiasm, 30 Rock, The TV Set, Walk Hard: The Dewey Cox Story, and more. He is also the author of the book You’re Lucky, You’re Funny: How Life Becomes a Sitcom, which was published in 2006.

In a recent interview with UPROXX, Philip Rosenthal revealed some of his favorite food destinations. He stated, “Well, Italy wins for some reason. I don’t know why, because I’ve now been to several places. But for me, maybe it’s because it’s one of the first places I ever went when I was in my early twenties and I just fell in love with the people. I always say, everywhere you look is beautiful there. Every bite of food is delicious, and everyone’s hugging and kissing you. So what’s not to like?”

He further said, “But I’ve, I’ve just been to Paris again and that is a knockout of a city and a place. And the food is also phenomenal. Also, I’m in love with Spain. I love every place that we go. I love Thailand. The food in Thailand, some of the food there, has been some of the most spectacular I’ve ever had in my life.”

Philip Rosenthal is married to Monica Horan, with whom he has two children.
