Netflix Docuseries Escaping Twin Flames’ Trailer Unveils a Sinister Online Dating Community

Netflix recently dropped the trailer of an upcoming documentary series titled Escaping Twin Flames. The docuseries will premiere on November 8, 2023. The three-part docuseries aims to delve into the dark side of the Twin Flame Universe. This online community, run by Jeff and Shaleia Ayan, promises to match each user with their ‘soulmate.’

However, former Twin Flame users have revealed that the platform allegedly “preys on people looking for love,” as per People Magazine. It uses strategies such as “encouraging stalking behavior” and “manipulating gender identities.”

The forthcoming documentary series will look into the inner workings of the controversial online community through first-hand accounts.

People Magazine reported that Netflix’s Escaping Twin Flames will offer a platform to a group of people. These people were allegedly “recruited, indoctrinated, [and] abused” by the Twin Flames Universe, which remains enlisting new members even today.

The official trailer for the three-part series shares glimpses of an alleged victim who claims she felt like she could “relate to and trust” the people she found on her TFU journey. But contrary to that, a second individual alleged that Jeff and Shaleia’s community “isn’t about love, it’s about control.” In another snippet, a mother can be heard saying, “He took my child.” The woman stated that she hadn’t seen her daughter in three years because “he twisted her memories, her mind.”

The filmmakers, Cecelia Peck and Inbal B. Lessner, have claimed that this sinister online dating community “preys on people looking for love.” The docuseries features exclusive interviews with ex-members of TFU, who will share “horrifying stories of coercion and exploitation. The main motivation we all shared was to bring the ongoing abuse to a stop and to help the current members leave and recover.”

Peck and Lessner told the outlet that “it wasn’t easy for the former members to choose to speak up. There’s a lot of shame around having joined a group like this.” The duo further stated, “even though it would have been easier to stay silent, they [the alleged victims] all knew that telling their stories would help expose the truth and help others get away.”

Jeff and Shaleia Ayan have long denied any such allegations. The former told Vanity Fair in a December 2020 interview that he is “not evil.” In addition, the duo mentioned that “people find healing” at the Twin Flame Universe and “experience real breakthroughs in resolving traumas and pains.” They also claimed that members “improve their lives in a sustainable and balanced way.”

Netflix’s Escaping Twin Flames documentary series will be premiering on November 8, 2023.
