What Did Barry Keoghan Say About Sabrina Carpenter’s Grammy Nominations?

Barry Keoghan‘s reaction to Sabrina Carpenter‘s eight Grammy nominations might be the cutest moment of the year. Carpenter became a global sensation following the release of her latest album “Short n’ Sweet” as she continues delivering explosive performances while on tour. Now, one of her biggest hits, “Please Please Please,” is up for the Song of the Year category at the Grammy’s, and Keoghan thinks it’s just “brilliant.” The actor also starred in the song’s official music video, which now has over 100 million views on YouTube.

Barry Keoghan cannot stop praising Sabrina Carpenter after Grammy nominations

During his brief appearance on “The Jess Cagle Show,” Barry Keoghan commented on Sabrina Carpenter’s multiple Grammy nominations. At first, host Jess Cagle congratulated Keoghan “a little bit” while praising Carpenter for earning eight nods. Cagle and co-host Julia Cunningham then announced that the singer’s hit famed track “Please Please Please” received a Song of the Year nomination. 

Barry Keoghan proudly reacted to Sabrina Carpenter’s Grammy nominations, calling it “brilliant.” The Irish actor noted, “Brilliant, I know. Absolutely brilliant. F—in’ brilliant, lads.” He continued, “I’m really, really happy for her, honestly.” Moreover, Keoghan expressed his intentions “to get on the phone soon” and cheekily asked the hosts, “Don’t put me on the spot lads.”

Afterward, the SiriusXM show’s co-host, Cunningham, remarked how the actor, who featured in the “Please Please Please” music video, joked about him knowing the song was Grammy-worthy. Addressing Keohgan, she said, “I bet you were on the music video being like, ‘This is probably going to get Grammy nominated,'” to which he responded affirmatively. 

Keoghan then lauded Carpenter for being one of the most hardworking people he knows. He told the hosts, “I don’t know anyone who works as hard [as Carpenter],” claiming he is completely in “awe of her” after watching her work. Keoghan further praised the singer’s commitment to her work and the high “standards” she sets. The 32-year-old further briefly talked about being on the music video, noting that “she knows the vision, she knows what she wants.” 

On the other hand, Sabrina Carpenter posted a loud reaction video to her Grammy nominations with a “headphone warning.” She claimed this year was the first time she livestreamed the nominations when she heard her name in the nominee list before expressing gratitude.
