Romeo vs. Juliet is a brand-new Kill Shakespeare adventure that comes from writer Anthony Del Col and artist Stefan Tosheff. Letter by Becca Carey and featuring cover art by Richard Isanove, the graphic novel will be released on April 22, 2025, which is just one day before World Shakespeare Day on April 23, 2025.

What is Romeo vs. Juliet: A Kill Shakespeare Adventure about?
“Told in Five Acts, Romeo vs. Juliet finds Juliet Capulet as a survivor of her ordeal with Romeo Montague, who has reinvented herself as an independent warrior-for-hire. Juliet is also carrying a secret: she is expecting a child but is unsure if the father is Romeo or a past flame, Hamlet,” the description of the graphic novel reads. “When Juliet unexpectedly finds herself at a small nunnery and learns of its troubles she vows to protect it and the women who live there. To combat the invading forces – which include her ex-lover Romeo – Juliet must reluctantly reunite with old allies, including Othello, Puck… and Hamlet.”
Kill Shakespeare originally launched as an IDW Publishing series of award-winning comic books. Since then, it has expanded to board games, a live stage show, an audio drama, and more. Gemstone Publishing recently put out a compendium edition of the Kill Shakespeare series, titled Kill Shakespeare: First Folio, which collects the first two volumes. Kill Shakespeare: Second Folio will arrive this coming fall.
