The ongoing Xianxia C-drama The Legend of Shen Li released episode 26 on April 1, 2024. It features Lin Gengxin and Zhao Liying in the lead roles. The episode primarily focuses on Xing Zhi (Lin Gengxin) saving Shen Li (Zhao Liying). At the beginning of the episode, Mo Fang (Xin Yunlai) tortures Shen Li with poison darts. He is possessed by Fu Sheng and is not in his right mind. It appears as if he wants to take her life. But at times, he regains consciousness of his past self and tries to stop himself from harming the woman he once vowed to protect.
Fu Sheng comes to Mo Fang and informs him that the silk thread formation has been activated. He announced that he would visit Shen Li in a few days to acquire the azure sea pearl. But Mo Fang warns him and tells him to stay away from Shen Li. He unbinds her and helps her escape. Mo Fang takes her to a sea beach. Unfortunately, he still isn’t in full control of his body.
As Shen Li starts to regain consciousness, Mo Fang gets down on his knees before her. Shen Li is in awe that Mo Fang betrayed Fu Sheng to save her. But she is not sure if she can still fully trust him.
The Legend of Shen Li ep 26: Lin Gengxin helps Zhao Liying to safety
Shen Li mourns the deaths of her fellow soldiers and residents of the immortal realm. Mo Fang, his trusted general, who once fought alongside her, has invaded her home. Shen Li wishes to kill him with her own hands, but she doesn’t have any weapon or power to go against him.
Meanwhile, Mo Fang notices Fu Sheng’s soldiers looking for Shen Li. He decides to distract them and keep Shen Li safe. After he leaves, Shen Li again falls unconscious.
In episode 26 of The Legend of Shen Li, Shen Li loses blood from her wounds. Her blood mixes with the seawater. Xing Zhi meditates at the bottom of the sea. He senses Shen Li’s presence nearby and emerges from the sea to look for her. He thanks her for saving his life. His heart aches to see her in so much pain. Xing Zhi doesn’t understand why she has to be so proud and how she ended up with no one to protect her.
He promises Shen Li that he will always be by her side from then on and that she will be protected. Shen Li mistakes him for Mo Fang and asks him to kill her. She can not recognize the man she once loved. Xing Zhi’s heart breaks when she sees her condition. He takes her to a shelter where she will be safe.
Shen Li wakes up with pain all over her body. She still thinks that Xing Zhi is a fisherman who saved her. She asks him to help her loosen the iron darts her enemies used to bind her. Shen Li promises to grant his one wish in return.
Xing Zhi takes care of her, cleans, feeds, and heals her wounds. The Legend of Shen Li airs weekly and is available to stream on Tencent Video, WeTV, and Viki.
