The upcoming modern C-drama Best Choice Ever is all set to meet viewers very soon. It features popular actors Xu Kai and Yang Zi in the leading roles. The drama tells the story of Mai Cheng Huan (Yang Zi), who ruins her relationship with her boyfriend after she proposes to him for marriage following her mother’s advice. This leads to the couple breaking up.
Mai is torn between making her life decisions independently and obeying her parents’ decisions. Meanwhile, Mai becomes close with her step-grandmother’s grandson, Yao Zhi Ming (Xu Kai).
The newly released trailer shows Mai’s parents worrying about her getting married as she approaches 30. Mai’s mother continues to interfere in her life. The trailer shows funny snippets like Mai getting drunk and ranting about her break up, Mai and Zhi Ming flooding the whole house, Mai pushing Zhi Ming into a trolley after he passes away from being drunk, etc.

Mai’s step-grandmother manages a hotel and is the only person who truly understands her. She entrusts Mai with the responsibility of managing the hotel. Meanwhile, Mai embarks on a journey to find her identity, away from her family’s intervention.

Other than the main actors, Best Choice Ever will also feature Xu Ling Yue, Gala Zhang, He Sai Fei, Wu Yan Shu, Yao An Lian, Jeremy Qu, Wang Zi Wei, Bao Chen Xi, and Guo Yun Qi in pivotal roles. Tian Yu is the director of the drama, while Hu Xiao Yu and Li Jing Ling have helmed it.
Best Choice Ever will release a total of 38 episodes, which will be available for streaming on Tencent Video.
