The ongoing romantic C-drama Everyone Loves Me, starring Lin Yi and Zhou Ye in the lead roles, aired episode 17 on March 12, 2024. It primarily focuses on Qian Ling (Zhou Ye) and Gu Xun (Lin Yi)’s mothers, setting them up on a blind date. The episode begins with Gu Xun asking Qian Ling to come to him directly if she faces any problem and not to Su Zheng. His words make Qian Ling wonder if Gu Xun is jealous of Su Zheng. She receives two couples’ night tickets to a talk show from her mother but refuses to go.
Her mother calls her and tells her she wants her daughter to meet someone. Qian Ling turns her down, saying that she is still too young to meet guys for marriage, but her mother is persistent. Meanwhile, Gu Xun also receives a call from his mother, who wants him to meet her friend’s daughter, who works in the same field as him. After Qian Ling’s mother mentions that the guy is someone Qian Ling knows, she wonders if this is an invitation from Gu Xun. After much nagging, both of them agree to go.
Qian Ling is excited about the date. She borrows make-up from her friend and gets ready. She reaches the meeting spot and waits for her date to show up. Meanwhile, Gu Xun is caught up at work. He attends one meeting after another, and the blind date completely slips off his mind. With each passing hour, Qian Ling starts to get impatient. She wonders if Gu Xun stood her up. She regrets getting her hopes up once again.

Gu Xun notices a note with the words “Talk Show” on Qian Ling’s desk. He immediately understands that the person he is supposed to go on a date with is no one else but Qian Ling. After confirming with his mother, Gu Xun rushes to the meeting spot. But he is not able to reach on time.
Gu Xun waits for Qian Ling in front of her apartment. He keeps apologizing to her, but Qian Ling is not ready to listen to him. The jammed door lock forces them to stay inside Qian Ling’s apartment. While apologizing, Gu Xun trips and falls down on his knees. Seeing him kneel down finally melts Qian Ling.
Qian Ling forgives him, but she also tells him his behavior makes her feel betrayed. While looking for something to wear, Gu Xun finds the sketch Qian Ling made of him. He tears up thinking about how he ignored Qian Ling’s sincere feelings for him.
Gu Xun gets into trouble at work for not completing the promo video in time. The directors threaten to terminate the project. On their way back home, Qian Ling tries to comfort Gu Xun by telling him jokes. She hugs him and assures him that everything will be fine.
Everyone on the team, including Gu Xun and Qian Ling, works extra hard to adhere to the deadline of the project. Su Zheng’s overly caring nature towards Qian Ling bothers Gu Xun, and he tries to tell him off.
