The upcoming historical romance C-drama The Story of Hua Zhi is all set to meet viewers very soon. The original broadcasting network of the drama, Youku, has released a trailer teasing the much-anticipated drama. It features Hu Yitian and Zhang Jingyi in the lead roles. The drama focuses on the story of Hua Zhi (Zhang Jingyi), the eldest daughter of the prestigious Hua family, who takes it upon herself to restore the dignity of her family.
The newly released trailer shows Hua Zhi reminiscing about the magnificent sight of the sea she saw as a child. She is a member of the thriving and well-to-do Hua family. They have welcomed Gu Yan Xi (Hu Yitian) into the family with open arms. But their happiness does not last long as Hua Qi, the eldest member of the family, is stripped of his position by the emperor for not complying.

The entire family is exiled to the north, and the Emperor also bans them from taking any position in the imperial court. The soldiers drive the family members out of the city. Hua Zhi vows to avenge the humiliation her family has endured. Like a loyal companion, Gu Yan Xi vows to shield Hua Zhi till the very end. The trailer also shows the Hua family members working together to get back on their feet.

The Story of Hua Zhi is an adaptation of the novel “Xi Hua Zhi” by Kong Liu. Other than the lead actors, it will also feature Caesar Wu, Lu Yu Xiao, Bian Cheng, Myolie Wu, Eddy Ko, Tian Miao, Fang Chu Tong, and others in pivotal roles.
The drama will release a total of 40 episodes and will be available for streaming on Youku.
