The ongoing romantic C-drama Everyone Loves Me released episode 16 on March 11, 2024. The drama features popular actors Lin Yi and Zhou Ye in the leading roles. It tells the story of Gu Xun (Lin Yi), who falls for the girl he once rejected. Qian Ling (Zhou Ye) had a huge crush on him, but he turned her down harshly as he was in love with his online video game partner. But his world turns upside down when he finds out that his gamer crush is no one but Qian Ling herself.
In episode 16 of Everyone Loves Me, Qian Ling shows his character designs to Gu Xun. Gu Xun is concerned that Qian Ling came home late the previous night. Qian Ling was with a friend, consoling her as she went through a harsh break-up. Qian Ling sees that her keyboard is much nicer and more expensive than her co-worker’s. She was under the impression that the company provided them with those keyboards. She is surprised to find out that Gu Xun paid for hers himself.
Qian Ling struggles at work with the massive workload in her old and new departments. As she is busy with client demands in her old department, her new team leader, Fan Xing, gets upset with her.
Qian Ling visits Gu Xun and admits that because of her fault, Ling Yu, the athlete who was supposed to promote the game, has left. Gu Xun asks her not to worry and assures her that he will talk to Ling Yu.

Qian Ling is able to persuade Ling Yu, and the whole promotion period goes smoothly. She resigns from her old department and focuses on her new job. But her old team leader is not ready to let her go.
When Gu Xun hears that Qian Ling has chosen his department over her old department, he is very happy. But he does not want to meddle in her business and wants her to handle it alone.
Gu Xun asks Qian Ling out on a date, and she agrees. Meanwhile, she finds out that the lock to her apartment has broken. As staying in an unlocked apartment won’t be safe, she calls her landlord for help but denies coming out so late at night.
Qian Ling goes to Gu Xun’s place to ask him for help. Gu Xun invites her in. She is surprised to see many matching couple’s items at his place and wonders if he really lives alone. While watching the movie, Gu Xun’s sudden movements take her by surprise.
They decide on a horror movie that scares Qian Ling to the core. At one point, Gu Xun tries to wrap his arm around Qian Ling, but she hangs back. Her heart palpates, and she thinks Gu Xun might try to get intimate. The couple cozies up when Gu Xun reaches over to grab the remote from Qian Ling’s side.
