The ongoing modern C-drama Angels Fall Sometimes released episode 5 on March 10, 2024. The drama features popular actors Lin Yi and Landy Li in the lead roles. It tells the story of Lin Tuo (Lin Yi) and An Zhi Que (Landy Li), who fall in love while doing an internship together. After they start dating and working hard towards a better future, Lin Tuo is diagnosed with a disease that affects his day-to-day activities.
In episode 5 of Angels Fall Sometimes, Lin Tuo gets ready for soccer practice with his teammates. One of their seniors, Jiang Chu Cheng (Wang You Jun), comes to visit them after a long time. Cheng asks Tuo to send his resume to him as Cheng wants to help Tuo secure a job. They chat for a while and warm up. As Lin Tuo stands up to get out of the changing room, he drops his bottle. But strangely, his whole body freezes, and his hand starts paining. He finds it odd that he is unable to bend down to pick up the bottle.
Zhi Que and his friends have come to see Lin Tuo and his team play. He is a good player and successfully scores many goals for his team. While running, Tuo falls down all of a sudden. It appears to him as if one of his legs has stopped working all of a sudden. But he does not want to worry his friends and gets up right away. But Zhi Que notices him limping.
Angels Fall Sometimes ep 5: Lin Yi gets his first job as an assistant designer
Zhi Que feels perturbed about Lin Tuo’s leg injury, but he asks her not to worry too much. Cheng helps both Lin Tuo and Zhi Que get their first job interviews at the company where he works. On the day of the interview, they go to the office together and ace their interviews. While Lin Tuo gets the call for a second interview, Zhi Que does not.
Lin Tuo’s kind nature is revealed as he helps the staff with their chores. He clears the second interview as well and successfully gets enrolled as an assistant designer on probation.
Zhi Que’s happiness knows no bounds. She asks Lin Tuo not to worry about her as she still has her part-time job and also wants to help her friend set up her own business.
Lin Tuo is excited about his first day at work. But all his excitement fades away as soon as he meets the director, Mr. Wei. Wei makes it very clear that he is not fond of Lin Tuo. At first, he does not even want to sign his recruitment form. He also sets up some ground rules for him to follow.
Meanwhile, Cheng is interested in Zhi Que. It bothers him that he couldn’t help Zhi Que with a job. He keeps pestering his colleague until she agrees to send out Zhi Que’s resume to some other companies.
