Ongoing workplace romance drama Our Interpreter has released episodes 26 and 27 on January 23, 2024. The original broadcasting network of the drama is Hunan TV. Our Interpreter features popular actors Chen Xingxu and Victoria Song in the main roles. The drama follows the story of Lin Xi (Victoria Song), a successful interpreter who reunites with her ex-boyfriend, Xiao Yicheng. Eight years ago, they parted ways after Lin Xi decided to focus solely on her career. As time goes by and they keep working together, the duo ends up falling in love with each other once again.
Episode 26 of Our Interpreter begins with Lin Xi pondering over her conversation with Shasha. Lin Xi and her parents received an invitation to attend Professor Gao’s birthday banquet. She doesn’t know if it would be appropriate for them to go as Gao and Lin’s mother do not get along. Lin Xi discusses this matter with Yicheng. He tells her that Lin’s mother still respects Gao and she should discuss this matter with her mother.
Our Interpreter Ep 26-27: Victoria Song gets angry at her aunt over past matters
On the latest episode of Our Interpreter, after thorough discussions with her family, Wenli, Lin Xi’s mother, decides it is time to get closure and to attend the event. When Professor Gao hears that his daughter will be coming, he goes silent. On the day of the event, Wenli wears her old cheongsam. Lin Xi and her father first arrive at the birthday event.
Yicheng’s parents attend the event, too, as they are friends with Lin Xi’s aunt. Lin Xi’s aunt wants to fix Shasha with their son. When Yicheng hears about that they are fixing him with Gao’s granddaughter, he gets very happy, not knowing that it is Shasha.
When Yicheng finally realizes who he is being fixed with, he panics. He tries to explain the situation to Lin Xi, who continues to ignore him. Yicheng finally stands up to everyone and admits to already having a girlfriend. Things escalate when Lin Xi’s aunt accuses her of stealing what belongs to Shasha and humiliates her in front of everyone. Lin Xi and her aunt engage in a heated argument.
Lin Xi has had enough. She mentions how her aunt had stolen her mother’s translations of Bai Li’s poetry. She also brings up how her mother has been suffering in silence for over 30 years. Meanwhile, Mr. Gao gets a heartburn and passes out. He is taken to the hospital.
In the latest episode of Our Interpreter, Lin Xi’s aunt again makes a scene when Wenli visits the hospital. Professor Gao asks to see Lin Xi. Wenli comes in to see her father. Gao is overwhelmed to see his daughter after so long. The two finally reunite.
Episode 27 of Our Interpreter focuses on the budding romance between Yao Cheng and Tong Xin. Lin Xi can sense this and attempts to bring them together. Yao Cheng wants to move back to Lin Xi’s apartment but Lin Xi lies to him and tells him that it has already been leased.
At the company meeting, Lin Xi’s team receives praises for their performance. The director of Huasheng wants to revoke her suspension. He proposes Lin Xi to return to her old department, and she will get back all her bonuses. But Lin Xi refuses.
