DC unveiled the official Batman Ninja vs. Yakuza League trailer for Warner Bros. Animation‘s upcoming anime superhero movie, which serves as a sequel to 2018’s Batman Ninja. It will be available on digital platforms sometime in 2025.

What happens in the Batman Ninja vs. Yakuza League trailer?
After getting transported to medieval Japan during the first installment, the sequel now sees Batman back home in Gotham. Despite successfully returning to his timeline, Batman’s strange dilemma will continue after countless Yakuzas suddenly start falling into Gotham. It also features the Justice League, including The Flash, Aquaman, and Green Lantern, as they somehow transformed into Yakuza versions of themselves. The new trailer was first shown at the film’s panel at New York Comic Con 2024, where more than 2,000 fans attended. In addition to the trailer, attendees were also granted a 10-minute sneak peek of the movie.
Batman Ninja vs. Yakuza League is co-directed by Jumpei Mizusaki and Shinji Takaji from a screenplay written by Kazuki Nakashima. The film will feature the voices of Koichi Yamadera, who also voiced Bruce Wayne/ Batman, Ayane Sakura as Green Lantern, Akio Otsuka as Aquaman, Nobuyuki Hiyama as The Flash, Romi Park as Wonder Woman, Kazuhiro Yamaji as Ra’s al Ghul, Rie Kugimiya as Harley Quinn, Wataru Takagi as The Joker, Hochu Otsuka as Alfred Pennyworth, and Masaki Terasoma as James Gordon.
The creative team also includes character designer Takashi Okazaki. It features music by Yugo Kanno. The film is produced by Warner Bros. Japan, with Kamikaze Douga handling the animation production.
