The first teaser visual and trailer for the upcoming anime My Stepmom’s Daughter Is My Ex has been revealed, giving fans a good look at the awkward moments that will come from the series.

The trailer highlights the two main characters, Mizuto Irido and Yume Irido, as they deal with the now awkward situation of being step-siblings after having dated. You can check out the trailer and new visual for My Stepmom’s Daughter Is My Ex below:
“A certain boy and girl in middle school became a couple, flirted with each other, disagreed on trivial things, became more frequently irritated with each other… and eventually broke up upon graduation,” reads the official synopsis of the light novel. “Now in highschool, the two of them, Irido Mizuto and Ayai Yume, wound up meeting each other in the most unexpected fashion.”

The series is based on the light novel series by Kyōsuke Kamishiro and Takayaki and will be directed by Shinsuke Yanagi at studio project No. 9. Deko Akao serves the composer for the series, with Katsuyuki Sato serving as character designer for the series. Currently, the release information for the anime isn’t known, but it will air some time in 2022.
