Why Does Nobody Remember Me in This World? episode 5 recap
The episode begins with Kai and the rest of their federation soldiers heading to Io to help the resistance. It then shifts to a flashback to the aftermath of Vanessa’s defeat. While Kai and Rinne clean up the battlefield, they are joined by Vanessa’s sister, Hinemarril.
She thanks them for defeating Vanessa since she is now in charge. She offers them a deal, telling them they can keep the empire, but every other place belongs to them. However, Kai delays his answer till he can report to Jeanne. Before departing, she warns them about Alfreya, telling them he has been acting weird.
The episode returns to the present, and the team continues their journey. However, they are attacked by a dragon but can deal with it thanks to Rinne. They arrive at the Io Federation but are met with warm applause from everyone but the commander. He reprimands them for coming late despite their situation.
Meanwhile, Rinne was suspicious of Commander Dante’s subordinate, Quibbery. The next day, Jeanne decides to personally search the lands, earning her the soldiers’ admiration. Quibbery meets with Dante, telling him that to solidify his position, he must achieve more than Jeanne. He then decides to lead his soldiers into the forest without Jeanne and her soldiers. Elsewhere, Rinne tells Kai that she feels Quibbery isn’t human. The episode ends with Alfreya severing ties with the elven and dwarven race.
