Wistoria: Wand and Sword episode 4 recap
The episode explains that prospective Magia Vander needs 7200 credits to advance to the upper institute. However, after all his efforts, Will could only gather 5405 points. During the demonstration, Will gets distracted by his classmates’ mocking tones and fails the test. The episode then introduces Wignall, Lihana, and Julius, the strongest students in the school.
Julius runs into Will after the class and is immediately irritated by his presence. Later, Colette asks Will to take part in the Grand Magic Festival to get a chance to get scouted. However, Will refuses, as he still has bad memories from the previous festival. Will and Colette stumble into a secret room, which is a gambling den full of students placing bets for the festival.
After class, Colette asks Will if he is free to go into the dungeon. However, he tells Colette he has a shift to cover at Miss Gina’s. While Will and Rusty attend to the customers, they get an unexpected surprise when Julius and his lackeys enter. Julian insults Will and the dwarves, calling them inferior species.
Will attacks Julius’ lackeys and asks him to apologize. However, this further angers Julius, who launches icicles at Will, which traps him in place. He tries to stab him with an iced rose, but after seeing Will’s resolve, he decides against it. He tells Will to enter the festival. The episode ends with Will telling him he will enter and win.
