Monogatari Series Off & Monster Season episode 2, “NADEMONOGATARI Nadeko Draw Part One,” begins with Nadeko stumbling upon Ougi Oshino. The latter’s bike almost crashes into a restless Nadeko, and he tells her that he has just seen her elsewhere.
Later, the episode shows Ononoki continuing her sting operation at the Asaragi residence. It is revealed that Ononoki regularly visits Nadeko whenever she is bored. She usually sits for hours while Nadeko works on her manga.
Nadeko confides in Ononoki, telling the latter about the ultimatum she has received from her parents. As such, Nadeko’s parents have given her a year to finish her manga. Ononoki meditates on the situation and offers her three solutions to tackle it.
Her final solution requires Nadeko to finish three years of work within a year. When Nadeko says it is impossible, Ononoki suggests she draw four clones of herself on paper. Accordingly, Nadeko draws four versions of herself with different hairstyles, all based on her past selves.
However, since her past selves were not invested in becoming a manga artist, they refused to help her and ran away. Hence, Ononoki and Nadeko rush out of the house to search for the four shikigami.
