On Monday, July 15, 2024, the official X (formerly Twitter) account for Kakao Page revealed news about Chugong and Redice Studios’ hit manhwa Solo Leveling’s sequel. The announcement revealed the release date for the upcoming sequel, Solo Leveling: Ragnarok, and a key visual.
The Solo Leveling Manhwa was published in March 2018 and officially ended in December 2021. Yen Press obtained the rights and started publishing the manhwa and novel in English. The manhwa inspired a hit anime adaptation, which aired on January 6. The second season, Solo Leveling season 2 -Arise from the Shadow, will air later this year.
Solo Leveling: Ragnarok: Everything we know about the Manhwa
As mentioned earlier, the official X (Twitter) account of Kakao Page announced the release date for Solo Leveling: Ragnarok. The announcement revealed that the Manhwa will be released on August 1, 2024. However, the exact time of the release remains to be seen. The announcement also revealed a key visual showing the series’ main protagonist, Sung Su-ho.
Solo Leveling: Ragnarok is a follow-up to Chugong and the late Dubu’s hit series Solo Leveling. Chugong is passing on the torch to Daul, who will write the story. Furthermore, the Solo Leveling author was quick to congratulate Daul, stating he would be cheering him on.
Tapas has officially been releasing the web novel since it was released in April 2023. It describes it as “the Earth’s existence is under threat once more as Itarim, the gods of other universes, seek to fill the void left by the Absolute Being. Sung Jinwoo has no choice but to send Beru, the shadow ant king, to awaken his son’s powers and start him on the journey he once took. Suho must conquer the shadow dungeon and earn his place in the world of hunters as he navigates through a new world against a new evil looking to swallow the world whole.”
