Failure Frame Episode 2 recap
The episode picks up from where the previous one left off, with Mimori trying to survive the ruins. With his MP severely low, Mimori tries to deal with all the monsters, but he reaches his limit. However, one of the monsters dies, granting Mimori a large amount of MP with his level up.
He makes his way through the ruins, killing monsters and praying for the deceased he comes across. On his journey, he meets a dead couple with some money in their pocket and takes the money after praying for them. He then comes across the body of a former hero, the goddess discarded after completing his mission. He finds the hero’s items and takes them, including a helpful spell book. However, he finds a warning from the hero about the soul eater.
Mimori finds the way out of the ruins, but the soul eater blocks the path and holds the key to the door. He struggles with the monster, who wants to exploit his humanity by spawning human souls to deal with him. However, Mimori tricks it into coming close and defeats it. The dead souls emerge and thank him for his help, including the former hero, who wishes him luck. The episode ends with Mimori making it out of the ruins.
