Oshi no Ko season 2 episode 2 recap

Oshi no Ko season 2 episode 2, “Game of Telephone,” begins with Abiko standing up to demand a complete revision of the script. The episode also shows the day of the preliminary meeting at Lala Lai when the cast members met one another.

Aqua and Kana arrive together and run into Melt Narushima. After their awkward encounter, they meet with the rest of the cast, including Akane Kurokawa and Taiki Himekawa. Moreover, the play’s staff introduces themselves.

Elsewhere, Abiko invites Kichijouji to watch the stage play rehearsal with her. The latter accepts Abiko’s invitation but realizes the complications that come when a manga artist intervenes in a drama adaptation of their manga. Additionally, she realizes how peculiar Abiko is, which will make matters all the more complex.

The episode returns to the present when Abiko explains how she repeatedly requested various changes in the script, but the staff ignored her requests. She has a meltdown and lashes out at the scriptwriter. It is then revealed that various intermediaries existed between Abiko and the scriptwriter, GOA.

Although GOA tried his best to accommodate all of Abiko’s requests, they got lost in translation over the telephone. Hence, Abiko wants to write the script on her own. In the end, Akane takes Aqua on a theater date to utilize their free time.
