The Strongest Magician in Demon Lord’s Army Was a Human episode 2, “White Rose Knights Commander Alistair,” begins with the human army from Rosearia attacking the demon army. The Demon Lord entrusts the war to Ike’s skills, while Alistair is given the order to retake Ivalias.
Later, Ike removes his mask and robe and spies the town as a human with Satie. During their stroll around town, Ike tells Satie about the past wars between humans and demons, in which demons were always defeated. Ike eventually compels a conman to reveal Rosearia’s secrets.
As such, Ike prepares for the Rosearian army’s attack beforehand, forcing Commander Alistair to retreat with her army. However, a mysterious enemy secretly attacks Ike from behind, only for Cefiro to save him.
Elsewhere, Alistair is imprisoned for failing to defeat the demons. Ike plans to infiltrate the human prison and meet with Alistair to ask her about the assassin who secretly attacked him. Lilith follows him and handles the guards while Ike confronts Alistair. Before much is said, Alistair suspects Ike is human, holding him at knifepoint.
