The first season of Kaiju No. 8 will conclude with its upcoming episode this weekend. As such, Kaiju No. 8’s episode 12 will continue the fight between Kafka, who has now lost control of his body, and the Director General of the Defense Force, Isao Shinomiya.
Kafka vs. Isao Shinomiya continues in Kaiju No. 8 episode 12
Episode 12 of Kaiju No. 8 will continue where the previous episode ended. The previous installment of the anime was titled “Kaiju No. 8 Captured.” It introduced various Defense Force officers, including Kikoru’s father and Director General, Isao Shinomiya.
The various leaders of the Defense Force discussed Kafka’s fate while Mina prepared to take Kafka inside a van. While departing, Ichikawa spoke out of turn and announced his faith in Kafka. Kafka, however, seemed certain that everyone, including Mina, Hoshino, Kikoru, and Ichikawa, hated him for his audacious move.
Once they were out of others’ sight, Mina consoled Kafka by telling him he was not seen as an enemy by anyone in the Third Division. Kafka asked Mina if he could stand by her side, and she answered positively.
Later, Kikoru gathered courage and visited her father in his office to plead for Kafka. Isao dismissed her, reminding her that Kafka belonged to the species that killed her mother. However, Kikoru remained resolute about her trust in Kafka.
Finally, the episode sets up a fight between Isao and Kafka. Although Kafka tried holding back, he lost control of his body and found himself attacking Isao deliberately.
