Following the epic battle between Kyora and Chihiro in the previous chapter, Kagurabachi episode 39 will focus on the auction as Kyora decides to auction the Shinuchi enchanted blade. The chapter may also reveal Kyora’s hidden intentions and plans by using the auction.
Kagurabachi chapter 38 recap
The chapter begins with a flashback to Hakuri telling Chihiro that the person on the stage isn’t Kyora. He tells him that Kyora is in the storehouse, guarding the items. Hakuri then finishes registering Chihiro so he can enter the storehouse freely. He notices that he can retrieve Enten since it has been indirectly registered thanks to Chihiro’s spirit energy.
However, Chihiro asks to be sent into the storehouse to finish up Kyora instead. Before leaving, he asks Hakuri to take over his father’s storehouse upon his death. The chapter then focuses on the battle between the two. Chihiro uses Nishiki, but Kyora’s hand-to-eye coordination makes it hard for him to land a blow. Kyora continues to use the storehouse as a living weapon, suppressing Chihiro with the terrain and an array of weapons. Kyora then launches several grenades at him.
However, Chihiro slices the grenades with his energy, while Hakuri sends the explosions to the auction hall. Kyora then notices that Chihiro and Hakuri have been subtly emptying the storehouse. With his back against the wall, Kyora speeds up his plans and auctions the Shinuchi-enchanted blade. The chapter ends with Chihiro telling Hakuri that they need to speed up their plans.
